Premium Full-Care Horse Boarding
Pasture Board

Pasture boarding provides safe, grassy pastures for horses along with unlimited free-choice coastal hay. Horses are fed twice daily in individual pens to prevent conflicts. Winter blanketing (November through March), worming, and facility fees are included. Requires a minimum of 6lessons per month to ensure your horse stays in consistent work.

Professional Dressage and Hunter Jumper Training Programs
Dressage training includes foundational and advanced levels at White Fences, with a structured curriculum rooted in classical horsemanship. Training focuses on balance, rhythm, and responsiveness, developing each horse through the training scale so they can perform with genuine suppleness and engagement rather than mechanical obedience.
Riders learn classical dressage elements in structured programs that progress through the recognized USDF competition levels: Introductory and Training Level for establishing rhythm and connection, First and Second Level for developing contact and collection, and Third and Fourth Level for mastering transitions between collected, medium, and extended gaits. Dressage training can enhance horse performance in competitions at every stage.

Horseback Riding Lessons Austin
Riding lessons are available for all skill levels at White Fences, and riding lessons can be personalized to individual goals - whether you're starting your equestrian journey, returning to the saddle after time away, or pushing toward competitive levels.
Beginners
At first, learning to balance and steer your horse can feel challenging. With patient instruction, beginners quickly build confidence, learn subtle aids and cues for clearer communication, and discover the joy of riding (even at the walk). Our beginner dressage lessons focus on safety, control, and developing a solid foundation to maintain correct basics, and this structured, systematized approach increases the horse’s responsiveness while building confidence and control for future riding success.
Intermediate
At this stage, riders begin to connect more deeply with their horse, applying concepts of timing, balance, and communication. Our intermediate dressage lessons help riders refine their skills through schooling figures and transitions that build strength and obedience, improve responsiveness, and prepare for more advanced work, including beginning to establish the correct lead in canter work.
Advanced
Advanced riders work on precision, timing, and high-level movements while developing a unique riding style, as the increasing difficulty refines complex movements and improves the horse’s flexibility. Many riders at this level prepare for competition, including United States Dressage Federation (USDF) recognized shows. Grand Prix is the highest level in dressage competition. When competing, formal attire is required, and each movement in a test is judged on a 0 to 10 scale. The White Fences team also provides transportation and horse care support for competitions.
Young Rider Program
We offer dressage programs for youth starting at 8 years old. Options include beginner lessons for those new to riding and advanced tracks for young riders interested in showing in Young Riders/JR Riders in Dressage. Programs are designed to build horsemanship, confidence, and a lifelong love of horses.
Our Assessment Lesson (1 hour 15 minutes, ~$175) is where every new rider begins - we evaluate your current skills, discuss your goals, and create a customized development path. Private lessons run ~$75 for 45 minutes ($90 with head trainer), and semi-private and group options are available for ages ranging from young kids to adult amateurs.
Riding centers provide quality lesson horses for students who don't yet own or lease a horse, so lack of a horse is never a barrier to developing your skills. Various equestrian disciplines are taught including Western and English riding across the Austin area, but White Fences maintains a focused emphasis on English riding disciplines and classical dressage that produces measurable rider development over time.
Horse Leasing and Show Support
Horse leasing allows riders to access a horse without ownership, and at White Fences, leasing can be a cost-effective alternative to buying a horse while you're developing your skills or exploring competition. Leased horses can be used for riding or competition purposes, and leasing agreements typically outline care and usage responsibilities clearly. Leasing provides flexibility for riders of all skill levels - from those just learning to navigate the arena to competitors preparing for their first recognized shows.

Getting Started at White Fences Equestrian Center
If you are interested in boarding, the first step is to schedule a facility tour. You can do so here. If you are a lesson student you may schedule your assesment lesson. A facility tour is only required for clients looking to board their horse.
Step 1: Facility Tour (Boarders)
Visit our Manor, TX facility to meet our team, walk the barns and arenas, and see firsthand why riders from across the Austin area choose White Fences. During your tour, you'll observe our day-to-day operations, inspect stall and turnout areas, and get a genuine sense of the care standard we maintain. If you're bringing a horse, we'll discuss boarding needs, health history, and training objectives. Please note: A facility tour is NOT required for lesson students.
Step 2: Assessment and Goal Setting
Every rider begins with an assessment lesson and conversation about their equestrian experience, goals, and program preferences. If you're looking for riding lessons, we'll identify the right horse for your skill level and discuss short, medium and long term goals.
Step 3: Program Placement
Based on your assessment, we match riders with appropriate lesson programs or training levels.
Boarders receive a customized care plan that includes feed program, turnout schedule, and training frequency. You will select a trainer to work with based on your goals and trainer availbility.

One trainer (Emily 🥰) spent 7 months on walk lessons with me and was so impassioned about each one you'd think we were working on pirouettes. My I1 horse was on rehab after an advancement in a known pre-purchase injury - the vet thought it was completely over. But that's what good care does. I’ve had the privilege of riding at White Fences for the last 3 years. I started with zero previous experience as an adult and have been overwhelmed with the talent and support that this barn has to offer—not to mention the fabulous horses.
I went from being a timid, unsure horse person to now competing in shows and feeling like a bigger part of a family here. The trainers are exceptional and teach life-long riders, beginners, and everyone in-between. The barn culture is friendly, kind, and no-nonsense. The horses come first in all decisions and it’s very apparent the love and care they are given.
If you’re like me and don’t (yet) own a horse, the school horses here will quickly become your favorite friends. They are patient, talented, and willing to teach. I’ve had the privilege of loving multiple of the school horses like they were my own. I was able to advance from never riding horses to confidently grooming, tacking up, riding, and showing thanks in large part to the school horses and fabulous trainers.

Let me just say… White Fences is heaven. As an adult amateur who has only been riding for five years, it is easy to get wrapped up in the grandeur of horses and overlook the importance of the facility, staff, and support. White Fences has been my home from day one.
Silvia and her staff work tirelessly to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for riders of all levels. My trainer, Andrea, is impeccable — my biggest cheerleader — and I absolutely cannot say enough positive things about her. If I ever have a question about riding or my horse, I can easily ask any member of our training team. They all work together so well.

The grounds are gorgeous and perfectly maintained, the arena footing is the most luxurious in town, the training is professional and well considered, and the staff is incredibly organized.
