Andrea Adkins is a highly accomplished dressage professional and FEI competitor with a career spanning from Training Level to the high-performance ranks. A USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist (with Distinction), Andrea is currently pursuing her USDF Gold Medal, having already secured six qualifying scores at Intermediate II.

In 2026, Andrea reached a new career milestone by being selected as a mentor for Robert Dover’s American Dressage Mentoring Program (ADMP)  This prestigious appointment recognizes Andrea as one of the nation’s leading educators, tasked with identifying and developing the next generation of American dressage talent.

Competitive Excellence & Elite Training

Andrea’s success in the arena is marked by her victory in the 2021 CDI Medium Tour and multiple Top Ten finishes at the USDF National Championships (Second and Third Level). Her technical foundation is built upon years of intensive study with the sport's most respected legends, including Robert Dover, Lars Petersen, Leslie Morse, and Betsy Steiner.

Her commitment to excellence extends to the judge’s box; she has attended elite seminars with international officials such as Stephen Clarke, Katrina Wüst, and Charlotte Dujardin, ensuring her students receive instruction that aligns with the highest global standards.

Coaching Philosophy & Student Success

As a trainer, Andrea specializes in the progressive development of horse and rider, from Training Level fundamentals to FEI-level competition. Her teaching style is deeply rooted in classical dressage principles and equine biomechanics. Rather than just teaching the "how" of the aids, she empowers her students to understand the "why," creating thoughtful, independent riders.
