Emily Roy
Dressage Instructor & Trainer
Emily Roy is a key instructor in the White Fences Training Program, where she applies her expertise in classical Dressage and rider biomechanics to help students build strong, confident partnerships with their horses. With a background in both Dressage and Hunter/Jumper disciplines, Emily brings a well-rounded and compassionate approach to each lesson.
Since beginning her riding journey in 2004, Emily has cultivated a deep passion for the art of Dressage. She specializes in rider position and alignment, as well as foundational Dressage principles including rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, and collection. Her patient and structured teaching style aligns closely with the White Fences curriculum, helping students make consistent, meaningful progress.
Emily actively contributes to the evolution of the White Fences program by continuing her own education with renowned clinicians such as Jeremy Steinberg, Charles de Kunffy, and JJ Tate. She earned her Diamond Diploma from the USDF University in 2024 and is currently pursuing her L Program certification.
Outside the arena, Emily enjoys working with her two horses: Santana, a 2010 Hanoverian gelding with whom she has competed at the US Dressage Finals, and N’Abèlle, a 2019 KWPN mare currently in training. Her long-term goal is to bring Santana to the Grand Prix level.
As part of the White Fences Training Program, Emily requires students to commit to a minimum of six lessons per month to ensure continuity and growth. In 2025 Emily graduated from the USDF L Education Program and in 2024 she received the USDF University Diamond Diploma.
